Fun In Bed

Heh heh - made you look.

I hurt my back - bad - last week, and it really set my hip recovery back. I have to lay here doing nothing all day, for days on end, until my back heals. (Thank goddess for being able to prop the laptop up on pillows whilst flat on my back, or I'd totally lose my mind, is all I can say.) Then tonight my dear sweet hubby brought me a little something from Best Buy. Nothing lifts the spirits of a bedridden back-hurtin' bored and just-about-can't-stand-it anymore gal than the first B-52s album of the 21st century. Play the video on the link for just a taste of the kind of fun social commentary and ass-kicking dance grooves this great band is known for. I can't wait til I can dance again!

Sorry to hear about your back. Hope you get well soon.
Checked out the link. Dog, I love the B-52s.

I'm with you Leah, from the very beginning the B-52s have rocked. My back is much better today for some unknown reason. I'm not even going to question it. I'm just going to enjoy being pain-free for this moment.

Gonna go catch up with your blog now. Thanks.

Hi Polly, I'm checking out your blog - I hear you're one funny lady. :-)

The healing powers of music! I hope your back feels better.

Thanks writerkat and welcome. I can be serious too which you'll see if you look at my blog entires, but Robin does inspire me to be comedic I must say. Thanks for saying hi!

I want to know what the first pair of shoes are you put on when you're vertical, again.

(Can't help it. I'm shallow that way. Hope you're feeling better continues!)

Oops! That's what happens after a glass of wine.

Hope YOUR feeling better continues.
(Still wanna see those shoes.)

Okay, I'll post a pic of them on my blog. But I'm warning you, they're not pretty! I'm afraid my days of pretty shoes are pretty much over.

Guess you won't be participating in the shoe-off. Yeah! The deck is further stacked in my favor...

Twenty years ago I wore very high sexy and pretty heels as well as other nice shoes, which made me quite tall considering I'm six feet to begin with. (I also had a 26" waist at the time. Those days are WAY gone!) Nowadays it's all about the comfort. But I can still admire lovely shoes, like yours, from afar.

I saw your comment on Robin's blogthat you eBay. I've not only bought there for years, but sold many items including a few vehicles, furniture, and lots of antiques for local antiques dealers, plus some vintage fire equiment for my local fire company. Woohoo, love the eBay!

Polly and Doreen,
For God's sake, you're destroying our economy with all this bargain shopping. I hear Miuccia Prada has a left nerve palsy. Let's help her out, OK?

Polly,
Your back better heal soon, because we have to go to Helium together. It was really fun, but I totally missed you. You're my comedy buddy. Feel better soon, and remember, there are some very stylish sneakers out there.

I feel SO totally guilty now about the adorable black Prada mules with silver kitten heels I got a few years ago on Ebay for like $20.

I may not be able to wear them, again - until the weekend, at least.

Polly,
Don't tell anyone, but I think Doreen is secretly the devil.

That's funny. I thought you were both delightfully devilish.

And BTW Doreen, you have singlehandedly created a new monster in me. Prada shoes on eBay? I spent an hour there this afternoon when I should've been writing. Fanfrickintastic!

Polly - Not only Prada. Wait 'til you get a load of the Richard Tylers I've gotten there, too. And, the handbags! We'll need a bag-off, too, methinks.

Robin - You're very quick to discover what it took my husband years to. A tip o' the tail to ya.

Lions and Pradas and Richard Tylers, oh my! I'm in deep brown stuff now gals. With my not currently seeing clients, and my book not quite finished and as of yet unsold, it's going to take a helluva lot of eBaying to do the eBaying I wanna do.

I have posted my blog on shoes to get this party started. Check it out and fire away!

Leah and writerkat, do we have a collective yee-hah for the shoes? If not, I apologize if this post has become hopelessy boring. I'll be posting a heavier, more socially relevent post soon if it's any consolation.

Doreen Orion said...

"Heavier, more socially relevant?"
Oh, Lord. I'm outta here and off to your shoe post!
